Good quality of food, cosy and warm atmosphere. Students are offered 10% off discount, great for term break trip. After the yummy meal we go to explore Peak District!

Having seen others' reviews, when we went to Ashbourne, we headed to Friends. Full English with fried bread (yes, fried bread!) for me and poached eggs on muffins for her. Couldn't eat all my Full English (even after passing over my hash browns to her) it was so big. Nice coffees too. Oh yes, and the mushrooms were proper fried portobellos. Very pleased we visited! Picture of menu included, but blackboard on wall showed loads of other nice stuff on offer.

Great little place which has great food staff and service. Lovely atmosphere. Went with child and dog felt very welcome. Toilets and chargers available and it's dog friendly would love to return for a meal. Thanks X

Wonderful place. The welcome was lovely and the staff were amazing. Had a breakfast and coffee that was absolutely delicious. Definitely call in again when passing.

Just visited Tissington and no cafe was open . We traveled back into Ashbourne and found Friends Cafe and Tearoom. The places is really nicely decorated inside. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food excellent in quantity and quality. My wife had Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Sandwich and I had the Friends Special Breakfast and it did Iive up to its name.

Absolutely fabulous, delightful cafe. We went with our two Golden Retrievers and had a warm welcome. Lovely tea and good coffee, along with superb food. The oatcakes with silton and walnut with honey filling were delicious. Well worth a visit we will certainly be returning.

Friendly staff, good fresh food, atmosphere calm and cosy
